Rick Hawkins & Place for Life Church, in partnership with Longhorn Live Radio, are hosting the annual Back-2-School Bash for school-age children from ages 5-12 on August 7, 2010, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. This special event will take place on the grounds of Place for Life Church located at 5820 NW Loop 410 here in San Antonio.
This is a FREE Event.
The purpose of this event is to reach out to San Antonio community children by sharing words of inspiration and encouragement, distributing backpacks with school supplies, offering immunizations and haircuts, and much more. In 2009 our Back to School Bash reached over 400 children. This year we expect reach over 600!
Additionally, a blood drive will be held by University Hospital where every donor will receive a free Whataburger coupon. As the lead Level 1 Trauma Center for Bexar County and all of south Texas, University Hospital is always challenged with maintaining an adequate blood supply.
“We are excited about this year’s event as Long Horn Live Radio and many other organizations are partnering with us,” says Minister Will Norris, Director for Community Outreach at Place For Life Church. “Place for Life is honored and privileged to host this event and provide our San Antonio youth with materials to help them begin a great and promising school year .”

If your family could use some help preparing for the coming school year, be sure to put this date on your calendar. The day will also feature guest speakers councilman Justin Rodriguez, Police Chief William McManus and a give away of at least ten food baskets to families who attend.
Organizations and businesses that would like to support this event can contact Minister Will Norris at (210)477-3577 or e-mail him at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
