Your Stutter Won’t Stop God’s Anointing

Scripture:
Exodus 4:10-12 - “Then Moses said to the LORD, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” So the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.”
Synopsis:
In the kingdom of God for every cause there is a call and a commission. The cause that presents the greatest challenge is the one God usually reserved for those who seem the least qualified. God is in the recycling business. He has a history of gathering up the rejected off the garbage heaps of life, restoring them then sending them to do his will. This was the case with Moses, whose failures and faults had caused him to be exiled to the backside of the desert. The truth is God had orchestrated Moses’ struggles as He does with all those He calls, to stretch and strengthen him for His God-ordained assignment.
In 1 Corinthians 1: 27 – 29, the apostle Paul describes God’s selection process and His preference for the foolish, the weak and the despised. According to him, God selects His representatives from among the losers of life because only then will He receive the glory He deserves. If they have any natural talent or ability, they might be tempted to horde God’s glory for themselves. This mistake has been made too often by those in church leadership and encouraged by those who follow them. But God is correcting this behavior by shaking everything and everyone that can be shaken and as a result toppling many from their man-made pedestals. Those who are truly called by God are restored and twice as anointed because they’ve learned first hand that true ministry is born out of true misery that shapes them into God’s messenger and his message.
We are going through tough times in America that can’t be altered or remedied by political or economic programs. The church is God’s only answer. So the church is under attack and being made to endure more pain so they can build up the capacity to handle more spiritual power. The tougher the times the more spiritual power is generated and distributed. Therefore we as believers should thank God for the difficult times we are experiencing because they are a clear indication that our generation will witness the power of God expressed through the church in a greater degree in the affairs of mankind and in the shaping of human history than ever before.
